Frese Equestrian Center – Modernization with Vision

In Donaueschingen, a town that proudly calls itself a “horse city,” a new milestone was established at the historic Immenhöfe: the comprehensive modernization of the stable block owned by the Frese family. What began as a necessary economic renovation turned into a project that sets new standards in terms of quality, aesthetics, and function — not least thanks to the collaboration with Röwer & Rüb.

The right solution: “Pure”

For almost 40 years the Frese family has run a boarding stable; in 2021 Tim Frese assumed responsibility in the second generation. “My parents always placed great importance on solid sporting infrastructure. What needed modernizing, however, was the stable block itself. Customer demands are shifting toward higher expectations for equine welfare and design, and we wanted to respond to that change,” says the owner. With the decision to renovate part of the existing stables and build a new stable, a forward-looking step was taken.

In the search for a reliable partner, the path led to Röwer & Rüb. “I had known the brand for a long time through CHI Donaueschingen, where I also met Marc Poppel, an advisor at Röwer & Rüb. But I never thought we would actually build with the brand. To me, Röwer & Rüb was like the Porsche among stable builders. At first, that seemed at odds with our desire to carry out the project as economically as possible. But a consultation helped us in the end and showed us the different options,” Frese recalls.

The solution? The “Pure” product line: an in house line from Röwer & Rüb that includes a wide range of galvanized standard-size stable equipment. All Pure product solutions stand out due to their functionality, reliability, and the usually excellent Röwer & Rüb quality. Thanks to uniform standard dimensions, all Pure products are compatible with each other and particularly attractive in price.

Good craftsmanship, thoughtful design

Thus, for Tim Frese’s stable a concept was developed that is precisely tailored to the facility’s conditions: stable fronts, gates, wash stalls, and exterior stall doors from Röwer & Rüb that combine durability, top quality, and attractive pricing.

Especially noteworthy are the stall fronts of the “Copenhagen” model, fitted with bamboo planks — clean, linear, and modern. Another highlight is the corner planking which intelligently integrates the water piping laid in the floor. This feature convinces both functionally and aesthetically, preventing the pipes from becoming unsightly or getting damaged from the outside.

“It should look good — and last a long time”

“You don’t make such an investment for two or three years, but for decades,” says Frese. Besides appearance, processing quality was therefore especially important. “Many differences only become visible when one looks closely: stainless steel screws instead of rust-prone parts, precise welds, perfect workmanship — that was decisive and gave us at every moment the feeling that we had made the right decision with Röwer & Rüb,” Frese adds.

Horse owners whose animals board at Frese’s facility are also enthusiastic. “The horses are safe, the stable is full, and demand is there. The feedback is uniformly positive,” reports the owner. “From our point of view, the modernization has certainly paid off.”

Collaboration on equal footing

The close and trustful coordination with Röwer & Rüb was a decisive success factor for Tim Frese. He reports: “Marc Poppel was always reachable, gave us competent advice, and considered our individual ideas. The installation went smoothly, the communication was uncomplicated; one felt fully supported. The overall result is precisely what we had wanted,” Frese says. And all that at a price that fits the economic requirements of the stable operator.

A stable for generations

With the new stable block, the Frese family has not only modernized the fabric of their facility but also made a statement: for sustainable quality, for good craftsmanship, and for a functional, stylish future in horse keeping.
