Eagle Bay Cape Horses

Can a German horse breeder make her dreams come true in the endless Australian landscape? Andrea Eckler was daring enough to do exactly this – she moved "down under" with six Holstein jumping mares. These include the highly successful sport mare Nascari, who can claim victories and placings up to advanced (S***) level. Her dam, the St.Pr. Elite mare Carista, also moved to Australia. Mrs. Eckler has a very special relationship with her horses, some of which are already the fifth generation of her breed. It is therefore important to her that her horses are given a safe home in their new surroundings.
Now Andrea Eckler is at home on the red continent, welcoming new foals to her farm every year. The Röwer & Rüb installations have an inviting style and add a European flair.

A farm on the other side of the world

"We already had spacious pastures and shelters, but we were simply missing a proper stable," Andrea explains, remembering how she started up in her new home. As she was already familiar with the renowned company Röwer & Rüb from her time in Germany, she made a spontaneous call to Niek Wolters. Looking back, she says: "He understood what I needed straight away."
The choice went to the classic, timeless Hamburg model with feed grate openings for mares and foals; the green powder coating lends the stables an elegant finish. A pen for the young horses, the examination stand and the entrance doors also bear the Röwer & Rüb emblem. To ensure the best possible results that suit individual customer requirements, Niek Wolters also provided advice for developing the concept for the indoor riding arena and the other features of the stables. This is where the long-established German company was able to demonstrate its full strength down to the smallest detail with its decades of experience and expertise.

Flawless stable construction despite the time difference

Another special aspect of the project: Andrea Eckler entrusted an Australian carpenter with the implementation and installation; Röwer & Rüb simply delivered all the products to Australia at her request and provided a detailed description. "Despite the time difference, the technicians from Röwer & Rüb were always on hand by phone and facetime calls to provide help and advice," the farm owner added when commenting on project handling. "Stable installation went completely smoothly. Today my horses and I are very happy in our new stables and people from the region regularly visit me to see the facility."

From Thedinghausen to the other side of the world – the lovingly designed "Eagle Bay Cape Horses" farm is living proof that dreams really can come true.

We wish Mrs Eckler continued success in breeding outstanding sport horses in Germany and Holland and now also in Australia.
