Training for riders and horses
Association of Riding and Driving Clubs trains riders and horses.
Classic riding training
Ansbach is home to the Verband der Reit- und Fahrvereine Franken e.V. (Association of Riding and Driving Clubs in Franconia) and is responsible for the training of horses and their riders. The association is the union of more than 320 clubs with more than 28,000 members who practice equestrian sports in the administrative districts of Lower, Middle and Upper Franconia. In addition to the centre's courses for training horses based on classic equestrian disciplines, it also offers a wide range of courses and seminars. Since the beginning of the year, the FN-certified riding school has been optimising its horse training with a Röwer & Rüb horsewalker equipped with a track roof.
Training is a top priority
In Ansbach everything revolves around horse and rider. This is evident from the wide range of courses and seminars on offer: Training and further training in dressage, show jumping and cross-country riding, courses in theory and practice, further training for para athletes in dressage and show jumping, compact courses and individual lessons with the client’s own horses and/or well-trained teaching horses, schooling of horses, breaking in and training up to higher classes and preparation for equestrian competitions.
Optimal training conditions
The equestrian centre has everything it takes to provide varied and holistic horse training. In total, the centre has a total area of six hectares. In addition to paddocks and pastures, two indoor arenas are available at the modern facility. With 25 x 80 m and 20 x 43 m, they offer optimal indoor training options and excellent riding conditions, especially for training courses. Those who prefer to ride outdoors are able to train either in the 106 x 23 m dressage arena or the 96 x 50 m jumping enclosure. At the beginning of the year a horsewalker with space for four horses was installed.
New horsewalker with track roof
"In addition to grazing and daily work in the indoor arena, outdoor arena or cross-country, we want to optimise training of the centre’s horses with the horsewalker." At the beginning of the year they decided to install one and the 15-metre horsewalker with track roof was built. “Marc Poppel was a great coordinator and installation went very smoothly. We were very pleased with the professional advice and the high quality of the horsewalker," commented Mr Sedlmeier with enthusiasm.
